About the Author
Anna Curren has been writing inspired clinical textbooks for more than 40 years. Super Resource for PTCB, especially if you haven't done math for a while!

I got this book to self study for the PTCB exam. I started with Complete Math Review for the Pharmacy Technician by William A Hopkins... which was awful/frustrating.... by the time I got about half way through with that book, I was in tears and ready to give up on getting a license. I tossed it aside and got Math for Meds & PTCB Exam Simplified (David A. Heckman). If I had to do it over again, these are the only 2 books I would use/recommend.... (and possibly the book/flashcard system from pharmacytrainer.com)
I am a 40 something stay at home mom who is re-entering the work force and taking the PTCB exam solely through self study... and...
Yes, I passed my exam the first time. :)

Math for Meds

I found this book to be incredibly easy to understand and I love the step by step explanations. I'm taking my first pharmacology class right now and was very rusty on my basic math skills and have never worked with calculations for meds. This book, thus far, (I'm still using it) has helping me understand class material much better. I recommend this book for anyone who is getting into the medical field and having to deal with math and dosages. It is a great learning tool.
