Another grand, dense volume in the series

The paperback edition of this volume was divided into two separate books -- likely due to the number of pages and the limited strength of the softcover binding. Like the other volumes in the series it is authoritative and requires concentration to read. I like the histories by Rahn (battle of the Atlantic), Wegner (Case Blue), Stumpf (North Africa), but especially the discussion of strategy interspersed throughout. The information on the war in Asia and the Pacific should have been omitted given very limited German involvement there and the existence of more authoritative histories. Worth the money. You cannot get better quality nor more first class information per dollar spent.
